Vacancy - Library Board of Trustees
There is presently a vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees for the Ottob Bruyns Public Library of Northfield. Trustees must attend one meeting a month. Spring Household Renovation Materials
Using grant funding provided through the NJ Clean Communities Entitlement Program, the City of Northfield is pleased to announce an organized pick up event that will allow residents to place household renovation debris, to include doors, windows, fencing, cabinets, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, scrap wood, etc. out for collection on their regular trash day May 17th through 21st only. The next schedule household renovation debris collection will be in Fall 2021.
This program is not open to contractors; contractors doing work on residential homes are responsible for removing and disposing of construction debris and/or trade waste at their expense.
Residents are asked to adhere to the following guidelines:
• Separate these items from your regular trash
• Each household will have a 3 item or can limit (in addition to your regular trash)
• Cans cannot be larger than 40 gallons; 50 pound weight limit for cans or individual items
• No hazardous materials, such as paint, solvents, pool chemicals, flammable liquids, etc.
• Broken glass or items with sharp or jagged edges shall be placed in a secure container to facilitate safe loading

Spring Street Sweeping 2021
The City of Northfield will be conducting street-sweeping services from May 3rd through the 14th midweek only. Please be advised that the operation will commence at 7:00am, and that citizens will be required to remove their vehicles from the side of the street on which sweeping services are being performed. This is the number one reason that areas are missed and or skipped, and your assistance is appreciated. Please see the Plan and Map below.

NJAW Upcoming Flushing in Northfield - Spring 2021
New Jersey American Water will begin flushing the fire hydrants in Northfield beginning Sunday April 11, 2021. Please see the postcard that will be mailed to all residents in Northfield. Also please see the map showing the areas and the estimated timeframes of the flushing.

NORTHFIELD CITY COUNCIL ANNUAL SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Northfield, County of Atlantic, State of New Jersey, that the Annual Schedule of meetings for calendar year 2021 shall be as follows:
January - Reorganization January 5th at 6:00pm
February 2nd and 16th
March 2nd and 16th
April 6th and 20th
May 4th and 18th
August 10th and 31st
September 14th and 28th
October 12th and 26th
November 9th and 23rd
With the exception of the Reorganization With the exception of the Reorganization meeting, all 2021 Council meetings will start with a work session at 6:00 pm, with the regular session immediately following, in Council Chambers, 1600 Shore Road, Northfield, New Jersey, 08225.
Availability at Council meetings for in-person attendance by members of the public may be limited based on restrictions (that may be in place on each respective meeting date) that may limit the size of public gatherings. At the time of publication of this notice, face coverings and social distancing will be required for in-person attendance.
Seating availability for specific meeting dates may be obtained by visiting the events calendar page of www.cityofnorthfield.org, not more than 7 days in advance of each meeting. The event calendar page will also contain instructions, as applicable, for attendance via video conferencing software or by telephone, as well as any other special requirements for a specific meeting. This information may also be obtained for a specific meeting by contacting the Office of the Municipal Clerk at 609-641-2832, ext 125, or requested via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Meeting agendas and relevant documents for a specific meeting will be available not less than 48 hours in advance of each meeting, as follows: on the municipal website at www.cityofnorthfield.org, choose the Government tab, City Council page; or by request to the Office of the Municipal Clerk at 609-641-2832, ext 125, or via email to email@example.com.
For those wishing to comment during the dedicated public comment portion of a given Council meeting, but who may be unable to attend (in person or via electronic means), public comments may also be submitted in advance via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by written letter to the Office of the Municipal Clerk, 1600 Shore Road, Northfield NJ 08225, or by hand delivery to the drop box at the municipal building. All such comments must be addressed to the attention of the Municipal Clerk, shall contain the name and address of the author, will be read aloud and addressed during the public meeting, and must be received by 2:00pm on the date of the meeting at which it is desired for said comment to be read.
Special Meetings may be scheduled by the Council President at any time, provided notice of said meeting is properly advertised and complies with the provisions of Public Law 1975, Chapter 231 or the exceptions there under.
Formal action may be taken at all meetings.
